Dr. Carol Engler has been a professional in the field of education for over three decades. She served for 30 years in the Akron, Ohio public school system as an urban high school administrator, counselor and teacher. She is currently associate professor of Leadership Studies at Ashland University.
She is founder and former Executive Director of The Ohio Council of Professors of Educational Administration (OCPEA), a consortium of the 24 universities in Ohio that offer masters degrees and licensure for school principals and superintendents.
She is the author of two books: The First Turning: A Vision of America and a World at Peace (2014), and The ISLLC Standards in Action: A Principal's Handbook (2004).
